Men are twice as likely to be victims of violent crime as women.
In England and Wales, men are twice as likely to experience violence as women. In 2009/10, the proportions affected were 4% and 2%, respectively men were victims in two-thirds (67%) of violent incidents in2009/10 – women in one-third (33%).
