Educational Inequality: Only 1 in 4 Poor White Boys Do Well

Boys from poor backgrounds are less likely to perform well at school with 25%  of White British boys of Free School meals achieved a good level of development in 2008/09, compared to 42% of White British girls

Educational Inequality: Exclusions

• White boys are 2.4 times more likely to be exclude from school than a white girls
• White boys with special educational needs are 30 times more likely to be excluded than a white girls without them
• White boys with special educational needs are 60 times more likely to be excluded from school than a richer white girls without them
• Poor black boys with special educational needs are 168 times more likely to be excluded from school than a richer white girls without them
